July 4 week

Caleb took off most of last week and we certainly made the most of it.  Here is what happened.

We had our first major rain to start off the monsoon season!  The hail was as large as quarters!  Kale'a was quite concerned when I went outside to get a hail to take a photo.  :)

Then we went to Phoenix with mys sister and brother (and families) as my parents were leaving for CA the next day and it was a good excuse to do something fun.  So we went to an aquarium that was perfect for the little ones.  The whole thing was actually inside a mall which was so nice as it was about 108 degrees outside!  The kids greatly enjoyed looking at all the sea creatures and even touching some starfish.  Afterwards, we went to my parents hotel and did some swimming.  We spent the night with an MK friend who had a new baby (who hardly cried at all and boy was he cute!).

The next day was the 4th - Independence Day!  We got back into Flag in time for late naps.  Then we headed to a local fairground area for a free symphony concert.  We expected rain the entire time but "be prepared" is Caleb's motto.  The rain held off and God gave us a great "fireworks" (lightning) display of his own that evening.

mmm, animal crackers beats classical music!

On Saturday we attended a friend's wedding.  The kids behaved decently well, considering their ages, but definitely wanted to move around and play.

ooo, sparkling cider!
That was about it for this busy week (with more busyness for the rest of the month!).
K put the hat on T, who thought it was the funniest thing ever  :)
