This past weekend we took a long weekend to visit our good friends in Idaho. This seems to be an annual occurrence but we'll see how long we can keep it up with more kids. :) When we left Flagstaff it was a beautiful 65 degrees. We landed in overcast, drizzly/part snow Boise but we missed the foot of snow that fell in Flagstaff! I think that was winter's last hoorah as the forecast is just beautiful for the next 10 days at least. Anyways, in Boise we had a great time with Rob, Carmen, their son Patrick. Saturday the girls went shopping while the boys went target shooting. Sunday was church and Carmen's brother, Zak, actually cooked us dinner! Wonderful fish tacos! On Monday we went to the Birds of Prey Museum in the morning and the Givens Hot Springs in the afternoon (as we did last year). Kale'a loved the birds and the water. She dunked her face several times but learned more stability in walking in the water. She did fairly well on the airplanes, just getting cranky at the end when she wanted to run around. But she is a charmer and no one seemed to mind too much. By the way, I am a big fan of using a stroller in the airport for toddlers!
Unfortunately, we forgot to take pictures in Idaho. Here a few of our return to the snow in Flagstaff with Kale'a in her too-big snow gear. :)
