Big Trip

On Wednesday-Thursday, we took Kale'a on her first big trip! Caleb has a work project about 3 hours away.  He had a meeting first thing in the morning so we spent the night beforehand in a hotel.  Since the project was on the Apache reservation, the nearest hotel was a Casino.  Yuck!  Although all the rooms were non-smoking the cigarettes permeated the air from the casino portion, wafting everywhere!  However, while Caleb was at his meeting, I took Kale'a on her first swim there!  The pool was outdoors - although it was 50 degrees outside, it was sunny and protected from the wind so it felt reasonably warm.  The pool also was heated!  Kale'a seemed to enjoy the water particularly the reflections on the ceiling and also the floor of the pool.  She kept lifting up her legs in wonder.  :)  Oh, and by the way, she handled the car ride very well!  She slept and played with her toys most of the way there and slept the ENTIRE way back! 

On another note, Kale'a loves lifting up her legs now!  In the below pictures, she got herself stuck and even turned all the way around by performing this feat.
