Caleb: It feels pretty nice outside this morning, not too cold.
Me: The thermometer says it's 35. I guess it's a dry cold.
I was hurrying home to make dinner and got behind a VERY slow truck.
Me: Come on! WHY are you SO slow?!
Kale'a: Who are you talking to?
Me: That slow truck in front of us.
A mile later we are next to said truck at the stoplight.
Kale'a: Mama, the reason that man didn't answer you is because his window was rolled up and he didn't hear you.
The kids and I were discussing Andy and Grace's dogs next door. Specifically, their jumping.
Me: The new dogs don't really jump but Obi does.
Kale'a: Bella (our dog) doesn't jump.
Titus: Mama, do cows jump?
Me: Umm, no they don't.
Titus (very serious): Yes they do! At night! They jump over the moon, Mama.
You know your kids live in an electronic age when...they are concerned their bicycle bell will run out of battery...and when they point out all the Angry Birds on the power lines when driving around town.
