Every summer we make grand plans to do a lot of camping - like that first summer that we were married...before kids.... And every year, somehow, the weeks get full and fuller. So finally, this year, we were able to lay aside our many projects around the house and get out into nature for a few days.
We found a gem of a campground (we decided with small children that toilets and water were fairly essential) right outside of town at Mormon Lake area. Out of 30 sites, the last 10 or so were empty. Of course, we set up away from people and it was great to not have to worry about noise or the kids running around. Actually, the quiet hours were from 10p-6am. We did somehow manage to keep the kids quiet until 6am, not joking. We took a day trip to nearby Lake Mary which actually had swimable water in it, which Kale'a loved! And lots and lots of rocks, which the boys loved. :)

I thought it would be lots of fun for the kids to do a scavenger hunt. Kale'a really liked it and found maybe 2/3 of the things. Titus just wanted rocks. And Ryker was content to just hold his bag. Meanwhile, this was my big treasure find! Gerber knife, Bear Grylls edition - didn't even looked used!
