Lastly, we returned from California just in time to go grocery shopping then get 14 inches of snow. The kids loved it especially since they got new toy shovels. Caleb built a fort/wall in the front yard but none of the kids were terribly interested in it - until Peter and Elijah saw it, that is! Now the temp has been over 50 and everything is melting quickly. This is good because we also discovered that our laundry washer in the garage freezes overnight (the incoming water lines inside the garage).
